A backpack that tells you the way by vibrating.
Companion is a backpack I built to help me navigate the city without looking at my phone. It gets data from the phone and tells me which way to go by vibrating.
The first prototype was built around an ESP8266 and a few other things I cannot reveal. The second version uses Bluetooth to send data back and forth between the nodes and the phone.
This project ate my free time for months, but I am happy with what it became. More at companionbackpack.com.
